Come as you are! Take a good look in the mirror and remind yourself what you love about yourself and what you feel would like to change. You will have the opportunity to wash all make up off from injection sites prior to injection. Please be prepared to complete a medical history and consent forms upon arrival. It is always a great idea to eat a snack or meal beforehand to make your experience more enjoyable. If you suffer from any complex health concerns, bleeding disorders or take regular medication or supplements, please call KVINDE prior to booking your appointment so that you can be advised ideal booking times.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Where are you located?
KVINDE Medical Aesthetics is an AHS approved and dedicated clinical space within a private residence in West Springs, Calgary. You will be provided with the address at the time of booking. Ample parking is available. Please follow the signs to the private entrance.
What about pain or being afraid of needles?
Don't worry- you are not the only one to feel this way. KVINDE uses high quality equipment and in fact uses the smallest needles on the market. It is completely OK to be nervous. We have various distraction and pain relieving measures that will make this appointment a breeze. Be sure to mention this to your injector, and they will accommodate your needs throughout the appointment.

How do I get in touch with you before or after my appointment?
KVINDE Medical Aesthetics is AHS inspected and approved, and the certificate is on display in the office. KVINDE Medical Aesthetics is fully licensed and insured.
Are you Alberta Health Services Approved?
KVINDE Medical Aesthetics specializes in natural looking treatments, tailored to your specific facial shape, symmetry, proportions and preferences. The only comments you should get is that you look more rested, youthful and revitalized. It is your choice to share if you had any enhancements done. Your secret is safe with us!
Will I come out looking un-natural? or fake?
How much do injections cost?
Cosmetic injectables vary in price and is determined by the skill of the clinician and the price of the product. There is significant variability in the market cost of different brands of neurotoxins and dermal fillers. At KVINDE, the brands are chosen for their exemplary safety and beautiful results, not by profit margin. Cosmetic BOTOX™and Nuceiva™ are $9 per unit, and Juvederm dermal fillers are priced at $600-700 per syringe. Dermal filler syringes may be split but only if used within the same day for safety reasons.  Medical injections, such as for the treatment of chronic migraines, bruxism, TMJ pain and hyperhidrosis are covered by most private insurance plans for both the injection fee and the product used. KVINDE Medical Aesthetics' partnering pharmacy will order and deliver your product to KVINDE to make life easier for you. Medical injections not covered by private insurance plans (whole or in part) are outlined in the TREATMENTS section of this website. The cost of these is the responsibility of the patient. Please note that all services at KVINDE are not covered by provincial Alberta Health Care.
Anyone over the age of 18 can use cosmetic injections. In fact, wrinkle prevention can start in the 20's with routine and moderate neuromodulator and dermal filler use! There is no age limit, but as the skin and structures change, there are alterations to product preference and procedures. You and your clinician are the best to decide this after a comprehensive consultation.
Am I too young or too old for cosmetic injections?

Health Canada, the FDA and numerous global health organizations have approved the safety and efficacy of both medical and cosmetic neuromodulators, and dermal fillers used at KVINDE Medical Aesthetics. When used by skilled and certified clinicians, the procedures and results are safe. Every drug and procedure comes with risks, and at KVINDE we aim to mitigate those as much as possible by following strict infection prevention and control, ongoing continuing medical education, adverse event reporting with manufacture, and going over and beyond for health and safety. Â All products and medical supplies are ordered directly from manufacturers to ensure authenticity, and stored as per the manufacter's guidelines.
What is so great about medical grade skin care products?
If you want to faster and more pronounced results from your skincare regime, then medical grade skin care is ideal. You are missing out on 30% of your youthful look if you do not have a tailored skincare regime. At KVINDE, you will be educated on ingredients, method of action, skin function, and expected outcomes of each product. Expect to pay more for medical grade skincare as it goes through rigorous testing for safety, efficacy and performance. The vast majority of cosmetically available products on the market are not tested to the same standards and are under no obligation to perform as advertised. Medical grade skincare is lab designed by individuals who have devoted their lives to skin health.
How many units of Cosmetic BOTOX™ or NUCEIVA™ do I need?
Everyone is different and every face is different. Unit numbers are determined by the site(s) of injection, muscle strength, previous treatments, age, physical activity level, desired movement or outcome, and individual variations. KVINDE will recommend a range of units per site based on your personalized care plan, and your preferences and budget. Approximate units per site are listed below;
